Crockpot Stuffed Peppers
I have been making this recipe for about 20 years, & its always a hit.
6 Bell peppers (I use different colors)
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (uncooked)
1/2 to 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. garlic powder
3/4 t. Italian seasoning
1/4 t. pepper
1/4 t. crushed red pepper
1 cup minute rice (uncooked)
Cut tops off peppers & clean them out.
Mix the rest of ingredients together & stuff peppers. Place in crockpot & add 1
whole jar spaghetti sauce (I use homemade). Shake parmesan cheese over the top.
Turn on high for 1 hour, then low for 7 more hours.
If you have leftover meat mixture, brown in pan & add to the top of crockpot.
