Ginger Beef Curry Recipe

Ginger Beef Curry

2 1/2 to 3 pound beef chuck steak, cut into small strips or chunks
2 large onions, finely chopped
3 tablespoons grated ginger
6 to 8 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick
1/3 cup tomato paste
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup fresh cilantro
salt to taste

Combine onions, ginger, garlic, cinnamon stick, turmeric and paprika in crockpot.

Coat beef strips with flour and add to crockpot.

Add cumin, coriander, cardamom, cloves, red pepper and nutmeg.

In a small bowl mix tomato paste and water. Add to crockpot. Cook on low for 8 to 9 hours. Stir in cilantro. Add salt to taste.

Serves 8 to 10.
