Spicy Brisket and Noodles

2 1/2 pounds beef brisket
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 sliced onion
1 stalk chopped celery
1 cup picante sauce
1 12 ounce can beer
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
hot cooked noodles

Trim fat from brisket. Combine beef, salt, pepper, onion, celery, picante sauce and beer in slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat and vegetables from cooker.

Skim off any fat. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Gradually add to liquid in cooker, stirring constantly.

Cover and cook on high, stirring every 10 minutes, about 20 minutes or until thickened.

Cut meat on the diagonal into slices, arrange on noodles. Top with thickened sauce.
