Beef and Cheese Crescent Pie
1 1/4 pounds ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 8oz. can tomato sauce with mushrooms (I use spaghetti sauce)
1 8oz. can green beans drained
1/4 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 8oz. can crescent rolls (uncooked)
1 egg lightly beaten
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack Cheese

Heat oven to 375�F. Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Drain off fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, beans and seasonings except paprika. Simmer. Separate
crescent dough and press into a 8x8x2 square baking dish to form a crust on the
bottom and up the sides. Combine egg and 1 cup of the cheese and spread over the
crust. Spoon hot meat mixture over that. Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle
with paprika. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. |
