Beef and Cheese Crescent Pie

1 1/4 pounds ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 8oz. can tomato sauce with mushrooms (I use spaghetti sauce)
1 8oz. can green beans drained
1/4 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 8oz. can crescent rolls (uncooked)
1 egg lightly beaten
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack Cheese

Heat oven to 375F. Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, beans and seasonings except paprika. Simmer. Separate crescent dough and press into a 8x8x2 square baking dish to form a crust on the bottom and up the sides. Combine egg and 1 cup of the cheese and spread over the crust. Spoon hot meat mixture over that. Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
