Breakfast Casserole
4 - Slices White Bread Buttered
2 - TBLS margarine
1 - onion chopped
1 - cup of mushrooms chopped (or 1 can drained & chopped)
1 - cup cubed ham or sausage
1 - cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 - cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 - TBLS flour
4 - beaten eggs
˝ tsp garlic
˝ tsp. salt
1 - TBL yellow prepared mustard
1 ˝ cup milk
Butter a 9" square pan. Butter 4 slices of white bread. Put bread buttered side
down in pan. Sauté 2 TBS margarine, 1 chopped onion, 1 cup chopped mushrooms, 1
cup cubed ham or sausage for 5 minutes. Spread over bread.
Combine 1 cup shredded cheddar, 1 cup shredded Swiss chess, 1 TBLS flour. Spread
over meat mixture.
Combine 4 beaten eggs, ˝ tsp garlic, ˝ tsp. Salt, 1 TBLS mustard, 1 ˝ cup milk.
Pour over other ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
