Chocolate Mint Brownies
This makes a big pan and would be perfect for a large crowd or potluck. It
tastes like chocolate mint cookies, but very rich. ;~)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (16 ounce) can Hershey's chocolate syrup
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Mix all ingredients. Pour into an 11x17 inch pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
MINT:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
3 to 4 drops green food coloring
1/2 cup margarine
3/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
Mix all ingredients and spread on cooled cake. Refrigerate 20 minutes.
TOPPING:
10 ounces chocolate chips
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup margarine
Melt ingredients and spread on cooled mint topping. Refrigerate 1/2 hour.
