German Chocolate Brownies
Brownie:
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine (melted)
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
4 ounces German�s sweet chocolate (melted)
Frosting:
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup coconut
1 cup, chopped walnuts or pecans
In a large bowl, cream eggs and sugar. Combine with next 5 ingredients. Pour
batter into a greased 9-inch square pan. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool and frost.
To make the frosting, combine the first 5 ingredients and cook over medium heat,
stirring until thick. Add coconut and chopped nuts. Cool before frosting the
brownies.
Makes 12 servings.
