Mushroom Chicken Cacciatore
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
15 ounce can tomato sauce
4 ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 medium onion, chopped or 1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 cup red wine or chicken broth
2 garlic cloves, minced or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/4 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
hot cooked spaghetti
In a large skillet, brown chicken in oil. Transfer to crockpot. In a bowl
combine all other ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low 4 to
5 hours or until chicken is done and juices run clear. Serve over spaghetti.
