Easy Holiday Trifle
4 cups boiling water
1 package (8-serving size) or 2 packages (4-serving size each)
JELL-O� Brand Orange Flavor Gelatin
1 package (8-serving size) or 2 packages (4-serving size each)
JELL-O� Brand Cranberry Flavor Gelatin
2 cups cold water
1 package (10.75 ounces) frozen pound cake, thawed and cubed
1 tub (8 ounces) COOL WHIP� Whipped Topping, thawed
2 cups sliced strawberries (optional)
STIR 2 cups boiling water into each flavor of gelatin in separate
bowls at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir 1 cup cold
water into each bowl. Pour into separate 13�9-inch baking pans.
Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Cut each pan into 1/2-inch cubes.
PLACE cranberry gelatin cubes in 3-1/2-quart serving bowl or trifle
bowl. Layer with cake cubes, 1/2 of the whipped topping and
strawberries. Cover with orange gelatin cubes. Garnish with
remaining whipped topping.
REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
How To Serve: This recipe can also be made in individual glasses as
parfaits. Proceed as directed above, alternating gelatin cubes, cake
cubes, strawberries and whipped topping. |
