Crunchy Toffee Cookies Mix in a Jar Recipe

2/3 C. toffee chips
1/2 C. chopped toasted pecans*
1/2 C. packed dark brown sugar
2 C. buttermilk biscuit baking mix - separated
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
*(toast the nuts in the microwave for 1 - 5 minutes, stirring every minute. Let cool completely.)

Use a one quart, wide-mouth canning jar. Pack each layer. Into the jar, pour in the toffee chips, the toasted pecans, the dark brown sugar, 1 cup of the buttermilk biscuit baking mix, the light brown sugar, the other cup of buttermilk biscuit baking mix, and add more toffee chips or nuts to fill any space. Seal and decorate jar, and attach the recipe tag to the jar.

Crunchy Toffee Cookies
You will need:
1 stick of butter
1 large egg
1 t. vanilla

Dump in the jar contents in a large bowl. Add the butter, egg and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Roll the dough into 1" balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375� F. for 10 - 12 minutes, until lightly browned.
