Chili Beef Won Tons Recipe
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
4 cans chopped green chiles (4-oz. each)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups shredded Longhorn cheese
2 packages won ton wrappers (60-count each)
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Brown ground beef in large skillet over low heat, stirring until crumbly; drain.
Add onions, green chiles, garlic, oregano, cumin and salt; mix well. Cook until onions are golden brown, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Add cheese, stirring until cheese melts.
Place 1 teaspoon ground beef mixture on each won ton wrapper. Fold as for envelope; moisten edge with water to seal.
Deep-fry in very hot oil for 12 seconds or until golden
brown; drain well.
