M&M Cookies

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup + 2 T. sifted flour
1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4 cup M&M candies

Blend Crisco and sugars. Beat in vanilla, eggs, and water.

Sift remaining ingredients together. Add to sugar and egg mixture; mix well.

Stir in M & M's. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Additional M & M's may be pressed into cookies before baking.
