Sour Cream Nut Drop Cookies
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup chopped cashews or pecans
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices. Beat butter
or margarine for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg and
vanilla, beating well. Add dry ingredients and sour cream alternately, beating
after each addition. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto a greased cookie
sheet.
Bake at 375�F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from cookie sheet immediately and cool on wire racks.
Frost cooled cookies with Browned Butter Frosting. |
