Strawberry Crumble Dessert
4 cups fresh Strawberries, sliced
1 1/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/4 cups Quick-cooking Oats
2/3 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/8 tsp. Salt
2/3 cup cold Butter or Margarine
2 Tbs. Granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp. ground Cinnamon
Pre-heat oven to 350-F degrees and lightly butter a 9-inch square baking pan;

In a large mixing bowl, blend together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda
Cut in the cold butter or margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Reserve 1 1/2 cups of the mixture for the dessert topping. Press the remaining
mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
In a clean bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon and fresh strawberries.
Spoon the mixture over the top of the prepared crust in the baking pan.
Sprinkle the reserved portion of the crumb mixture over the top of the berries.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm in bowls.
