Great 5 Layer Dip

2 10 oz. cans refried beans
1 small container sour cream
1 package shredded lettuce
1 16 oz jar chunky salsa
2 small cans green chiles
1 tomato (diced)
2 tsp dried cilantro
2 cups finely shredded cheddar and jack cheese
Large oven-safe platter or dish

Spread both cans of refried beans evenly around the platter leaving approximately 1 - 2 inches around the edge for garnishing.

Spread approximately 1/2 of the container of sour cream over the layer of beans.

Spread the salsa on top of that layer. Then, layer the shredded lettuce. Finally, cover the entire top with the shredded cheese.

Garnish around the rim and center with the green chiles and diced tomato (you can also add black olives).

Sprinkle with cilantro and heat in a 350 degree oven until cheese is melted and dish is heated through (can also be served cold).

Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
