Beans and Cornbread Spicy BBQ Shrimp
1 oz. corn oil
16 medium peeled and deveined shrimp
salt and pepper to taste
Spicy BBQ Sauce:
1 quart your favorite barbecue sauce
1 T. crushed red peppers
1 t. cayenne pepper
1 oz. Tabasco sauce
In medium size saute pan, heat oil. While oil is heating, season shrimp with salt and pepper to taste.
Place shrimp in saute pan and cook until pinkish in color (about 3 minutes). Drain drippings from saute pan and add 8 ounces Spicy BBQ Sauce (see below). Cook on low heat for 6 minutes. Serve and garnish with crushed red peppers on rim of plate.
To make Spicy BBQ Sauce: mix all ingredients in medium size pot. Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
