Big Sky Country Ribs & Sauce

3 pounds beef ribs (to 4 lbs)
1 medium onion minced
1 can tomato soup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
1 1/4 cups ketchup
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon steak sauce
1 1/4 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Brown ribs in broiler pan of oven at 400F 30-45 minutes. Drain off fat.

While ribs are browning, combine all sauce ingredients in saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes or till flavors are mixed. Cover ribs with sauce.

Bake at 300F for 2-3 hours. Baste with sauce as ribs darken.

Serves 6-8.
