Big Sky Country Ribs & Sauce

3 pounds beef ribs (to 4 lbs)
1 medium onion minced
1 can tomato soup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
1 1/4 cups ketchup
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon steak sauce
1 1/4 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Brown ribs in broiler pan of oven at 400�F 30-45 minutes. Drain off fat.

While ribs are browning, combine all sauce ingredients in saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes or till flavors are mixed. Cover ribs with sauce.

Bake at 300�F for 2-3 hours. Baste with sauce as ribs darken.

Serves 6-8.
