Tomato Catsup
1 gallon tomato pulp
2 cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons salt
Make tomato pulp from cooked tomatoes, that have been put through a
sieve. Boil hard for 1 hour. Then add 1 heaping tablespoon
cornstarch dissolved in a little water. Boil another half hour.
Bottle and seal. |
