Patriotic Deviled Eggs
Boil eggs as you would for deviled eggs. Put in cold water to cool enough to
peel. Split eggs & remove yolks.
To color the whites (BLUE) you need:
2/3 C water
1/4 tsp. vinegar
blue food coloring
Bring water to a boil. Add vinegar. Add a few drops of blue food coloring or as
much as you want. Drop egg whites in the hot mixture to color.
Remove eggs from pan & sit on a cookie rack to dry. The color will darken as
they dry. Let cool completely before filling.
For (RED) eggs start over with more water vinegar & food coloring. |
