Lasagna in a Bun
8 sub or hoagie buns (8 inches)
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. spaghetti sauce
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. dried Italian seasoning
1 c. ricotta cheese
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Cut this slices off tops of buns. Hollow out centers, leaving 1/4-inch thick
shells; discard tops and center or save for another use. In a skillet, brown
ground beef; drain. Add spaghetti sauce, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Cook 4-5 minutes or until heated through.
Meanwhile, combine ricotta, Parmesan and half of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses;
mix well. Spoon meat sauce into buns; top with cheese mixture. Place on baking
sheet. Cover loosely with foil. Bake at 350� for 20-25 minutes. Uncover;
sprinkle with remaining cheddar and mozzarella. Return to the oven for 2-3
