Glazed Beef Kebabs
1 lb. top sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 medium-size sweet onion, quartered and separated
8 whole fresh mushrooms
1 large red or green bell pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
4 long metal skewers
Basting glaze:
1/3 C. currant, grape or apple jelly
1/4 C. bottled barbecue sauce
1 t. prepared mustard
On 4 long metal skewers, alternately thread beef, onion, mushrooms and peppers.
In a small saucepan, combine basting glaze ingredients; heat over medium heat
until jelly melts, about 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Brush glaze on
kebabs; save half of the glaze for later.
Cook kebabs on grill rack over medium-hot coals for 12-14 minutes or until meat
is at the desired doneness. Turn once and baste with remaining glaze halfway
through cooking time.
Serves 4.
