Hot Spiced Wine Mix

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Combine all and store in airtight container. Can pack in basket with a bottle of dry red wine, a thermos and some mugs.

Hot Spiced Wine (serves 6):

2/3 c. boiling water, 2 c. dry red wine, hot spiced wine mix.

Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the wine, reduce the heat and add hot spiced wine mix.

Allow brew to steep over low heat for 1 hour. Serve warm.
