Old Fashioned Dark Fruitcake

4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
10 eggs
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. dates
1 lb. currants
1 c. apples, chopped
1 c. molasses
1 c. nuts

1/4 lb. citron
1/4 lb. lemon peel
1/4 lb. orange peel
1/2 lb. pineapple
1/2 lb. cherries
1 c. wine or grape juice
1 tbsp. soda stirred into- molasses
2 tbsp. mixed fruit cake- spices

Cream butter and sugar.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating constantly. Add flour and wine alternately.

Add fruits that have been floured with 1 cup flour. Add molasses with soda. Add spices.

Pour into 10 inch tube pan that has been greased and floured.

Bake in a slow oven at 275 degrees for 3 1/2-4 hours.
