Layered Peanut Butter-Chocolate Fudge
1 cup peanut butter chips
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk divided
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
2 tablespoons butter
Butter an 8 inch square baking pan; set aside. In a microwavable 2 qt.
saucepan, or medium-size bowl, combine peanut butter chips with 1/2 cup
of the condensed milk and 3 Tbsp. butter. Microwave on Medium (50%)
about 1 minute or until chips are softened and mixture can be blended
together. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate while preparing chocolate
layer.
In a 1 qt. microwavable saucepan, or small bowl, combine chocolate
pieces with remaining condensed milk and 2 Tbsp. butter. Microwave on
Medium (50%) about 1 min. or until chips are softened and mixture can be
blended together. Spread over peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate 2 hours
or until firm. Just before serving, cut into squares. Store in
refrigerator. |
