Baby Gouda Wrap

12 servings

of a package of puff pastry

1 cup pecans, finely chopped

1 7-ounce baby Gouda cheese

Thaw 1 sheet of puff pastry. Cut the pastry in half, and roll each half to a 9-inch square. Sprinkle cup pecans in the center of each pastry square.

Remove the red rind from each round of cheese. Place cheese rounds over the pecans and sprinkle cup of pecans over each cheese round.

Bring the corners of each pastry square to the center of each cheese round, twisting the top to completely enclose the cheese. Place the pastries on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until puffed and golden. Transfer to serving plates and serve immediately. (This can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking.)
