Creamy Chocolate Cups

2/3 cup whole milk

1 egg

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

4 Tbsp. sugar, divided

Pinch salt

1-2 Tbsp. hazelnut liqueur

1 cup whipping cream

In small saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to boil.

While milk heats, in blender on low, combine egg, chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and liqueur.

In slow, steady stream, pour boiling milk into blender while it is turning. Hot milk will cook egg and melt chocolate. Blend for 1 minute, or until smooth. Spoon chocolate mixture into demitasse cups and chill.

After dinner, place cream mixture in in medium bowl; use electric mixer to beat until soft peaks form. Add remaining sugar and beat to combine. Top chocolate cups with dollop of cream.

To serve, place cups on saucers; serve with demitasse spoons.
