"Recipes for Starting Your New Year"

Cornbread Recipe

1 C. all-purpose flour
1 C. cornmeal
2 to 4 t. sugar
1 T. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2 eggs
1 C. milk
1/4 C. cooking oil or melted shortening

Preheat oven to 425 F.  Stir flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt in bowl.

In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, and oil. Add to flour mixture, stir until smooth. Do not overbeat.

Pour into greased 9  x 9 baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

8 servings.
