Applesauce Pancakes with Spiced Apple Syrup

2 cups biscuit mix
2 eggs
1 c milk
2 c applesauce
1 c apple jelly
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash cloves
dash salt

Combine biscuit mix, eggs, milk and 1 cup of applesauce; beat till smooth.

Bake on hot, lightly greased griddle, using about 1/3 c batter for each pancake..

Serve hot with Spiced Apple Syrup:

In small saucepan, combine the remaining 1 cup applesauce, apple jelly, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Cook and stir till jelly melts and syrup is hot.

Makes 2 cups syrup. Makes about one dozen large pancakes
