Peanut Butter Chiffon Pie

1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 pkg. (4-oz.) cream cheese
1 cup confectioners (10x) sugar
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 tub Cool Whip or 1 pkg. Dream Whip, prepared
1 9 inch pie crust, cooked
chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water-cool until lukewarm. Whip cheese until soft and fluffy. Beat in sugar and peanut butter. Slowly add the gelatin mixture, blend in thoroughly. Fold whipped topping into the mixture. Pour into the pie shell and chill until firm (about 2 hrs.). Sprinkle with chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings.
