Blue Cheese Potato Gratin 8 large baking potatoes (about 4 lbs. peeled and sliced) 2 cup heavy cream 2 cup milk 4 Tbsp. of finely minced garlic 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1 lb. crumbled blue cheese 4 slices white bread crumbs Combine potatoes, cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg and half of the blue cheese in a large saucepan. Simmer 5 - 7 min, stirring occasionally. Spoon into 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and crumbs. Bake in 350� F. oven 35-40 minutes, until potatoes are fork-tender and top is brown. Serves 10. |
