New England Apple Cheddar Bread
2 C. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 C. chopped cashews, walnuts, or pecans
1/2 C. butter, melted
1/2 C baking apples, peeled, and finely chopped
1/2 C. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 C. milk
Note: If 2 cups of self-rising flour is not available, use 2 cups all purpose
flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt.
Preheat oven to 350º. Butter a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nuts.
In a separate bowl, combine eggs, butter, apples, cheese and milk. Add to sugar
Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour. Cover with foil if it gets brown
