Peach Bread

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/4 cups pureed peaches (about 8 medium size peaches)
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups flour, unsifted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecans or walnuts

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs, mix thoroughly.

Add pureed peaches and dry ingredients. Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts.

Divide evenly into three greased small loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for about one hour.

Cool before removing from pans.
