Sour Cream-Banana Bread
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cups sugar
3/4 tsp. lemon rind
1 beaten egg
1-3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 very very ripe bananas
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup nuts (your choice)
Cream shortening, sugar and lemon rind, add egg.
Sift flour and baking powder and baking soda 2 times.
Mix banana and sour cream together.
Add flour mixture and banana mixture alternately to shortening mixture. Beat
until smooth, Add nuts.
Place in a greased bread pan.
Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes, or until done. |
