Hawaiian Beets
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (8-oz) can pineapple tidbits
1 T. butter
1 T. lemon juice
1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets drained
In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir in pineapple.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
Add butter, juice and beets. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
