Shrimp Boiled In Beer

3 pounds large shrimp
36 ounces beer
8 garlic cloves, peeled & crushed
1/4 Seafood Seasoning - recipe to follow -
2 T. salt
3 bay leaves
4 t. Tabasco
1 1/2 t. celery seed
2 t. cayenne pepper
Juice of 2 lemons
Butter, melted & seasoned to taste with additional Seafood Seasoning & Tabasco

Wash shrimp, but do not remove the shells. Combine the remaining ingredients except the lemon juice & butter and bring to a boil in a large pot. Add shrimp and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat to low & simmer, uncovered, until shrimp are pink & tender, approximately 2 to 5 minutes. Drain and serve with plenty of seasoned melted butter.

Seafood Seasoning:

2 T. celery salt
1 T. ground bay leaves
1 T. salt
1 1/2 t. paprika
1 t. onion powder
1 t. dry mustard
1 1/2 t. garlic powder
1 t. cayenne pepper
1 t. grated nutmeg
1 t. dried oregano
1 t. ground thyme
3/4 t. ground cloves
1/4 t. ground allspice

Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container until ready for use.
