Texas Tea Cakes

4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 375F. Mix all ingredients into a firm dough. Roll out, and use a cookie cutter to make circles. Bake until brown and golden.
