Orange Upside Down Cake

For the bottom of cake
1/2 C. butter
1 1/2 C. dark brown sugar
4 large oranges
Dried cranberries or cherries
2 tsp. freshly grated orange peel

Melt butter in a 350 oven then arrange 1/2 " slices of orange and the cherries then sprinkle brown sugar over all and then sprinkle with the orange zest. Mix cake and pour over top. Bake 20 to 30 min or until tests done
