Wild Rice and Yam Soup

2 tablespoons oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
4 large cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 cup wild rice
1 cup cooked pureed yams; sweet potatoes or pumpkin would work too
32 ounces unchicken broth
32 ounces vegetable broth
1 teaspoon cajun seasoning
sea salt and back pepper to taste

Heat oil in a large pot.

Add onions, garlic and mushrooms. Toss to coat with oil and cook about two minutes.

Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer about an hour or until the rice is done.

Season to your liking.
