Rustic Peach Tart
2 Loaves frozen bread dough
Filling:
3 cans Peaches
4 tbs all-purpose flour
5 tbs sugar
3 tbs melted butter
Vanilla ice cream
Shape dough on pizza stone. Don't worry if it's not perfectly
round, it's supposed to look "rustic".
Filling: Halve and pit the plums. Cut into 5 or 6 slices.
Leaving a 2-inch border, sprinkle the surface of the dough with
3 tbs flour and 1 tbs of sugar. Place the plum slices on the
dough, arrange artfully, or scatter; either way, it will look
lovely! Sprinkle the plums with remaining 4 tbs sugar.
Carefully draw up sides of dough to form a rim. Make sure there
are no cracks where juices can run out. Brush the rim with
melted butter and sprinkle generously with sugar. Bake 30
minutes over fire, remove and add top coals. Continue baking
until well browned and bubbly - about 15 to 20 minutes.
