Chocolate Pound Cake
1 c butter, softened
1/2 c oil
5 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
3 c sugar
3 c sifted flour
1/2 c cocoa
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 c milk
Cream butter, oil, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time,
and mix well after each one. Sift dry ingredients together and add, mixing at
low speed. Gradually add milk, then the vanilla.
Pour into lightly greased tube or bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 90 minutes. After
the cake has cooled, remove from pan. Serve plain or drizzled with frosting,
