Sticky Maple Walnut Coffee Cake
4 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup walnut pieces
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp orange rind [optional]
1/2 tsp each baking powder and baking soda
1/2 tsp allspice
pinch salt
3/4 cup butter melted
1/3 cup maple syrup
2/3 cup sour cream
Combine egg yolks and 1 tbs of the sour cream and the vanilla. Set aside. Pam a
Bundt pan and sprinkle with walnuts. Mix together flour sugar orange rind baking
powder baking soda allspice and salt. Add butter and remaining sour cream and
with mixer until the dry ingredients begin to clump. Increase speed to high and
beat 1 1/2 min. Add egg mixture beating well. Scrape batter into pan and
smooth.. Bake at 350o for 45 min. Cool on rack for 10 min. Remove from pan and
