Sour Cream Cookies

3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup sour milk
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 3/4 cups shortening
1 cup sour cream
6 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon vanilla

Mix together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and combine well. Roll out, then cut and sprinkle tops with sugar.

Bake in 350�F oven until done. The more sour the cream, the better the cookies.
