Chocolate Pudding Cake

1 18.25 ounce package chocolate cake mix
1 3.9 ounce package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups sour cream
4 eggs
1 cup water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
whipped cream or ice cream, optional

In a mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips.

Pour into a 5 quart slow cooker that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Serves in bowls with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.

10 to 12 servings.
