German Kraut Skillet
1 lb. smoked sausage
1/2 cup butter
1 apple coarsely grated
1 potato coarsely grated
1 tablespoon caraway seed
3 cups undrained sauerkraut
1/2 cup apple juice
Slice sausage in bite size pieces. Melt butter in large skillet. Add sausage and
cook until lightly browned. Mix apples, potato and caraway seed. Arrange apple
mixture on top of sausage. Top with sauerkraut. Add apple juice. Cover and
simmer for thirty minutes. |
