Hungarian Green Beans & Cabbage
1 1/4 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups green beans, cut into 1" lengths
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 cup low salt tomato sauce
3 cups shredded cabbage
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Heat 1/4 cup broth in a large saucepan. Add onion and saute until it begins to
soften, about 2 minutes. Add beans and garlic, and saute for 1 additional
minute. Stir int he remaining broth, paprika, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil,
reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add cabbage and continue to simmer for 4
more minutes. Stir in lemon juice and black pepper.
