Meatballs n' Cabbage
Meatballs:
2 - 2 1/2 lbs. extra lean ground beef
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. paprika
1/2 cup matzoh meal
2 eggs
Sauce:
1 medium cabbage, shredded thickly
1 cup ketchup
15 oz. tomato sauce
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
3 - 4 cups water
Combine all sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower heat. Combine meatball
ingredients, form into balls, and add to sauce. Cover and cook on low heat 1 - 1
1/2 hours. |
