Sausage Fruit Cake

1/2 lb fresh sausage
2 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup hot water
1 tsp hot water
1 cup raisins
2 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pinch of salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup candied fruit

Pour hot water over raisins; let stand.

Cream sausage, sugar and eggs and mix with sifted flour.

Add raisins, fruit and nuts.

Bake at 325 1 hour or until done in tube pan. Cool.

Keep refrigerated.
