Peanut Patties Candy

3 cups sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
3 cups roasted peanuts
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a full, rolling boil; stir in peanuts. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla, and salt. Beat with an electric mixer until stiff. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool.
