Baked Green Beans and Mushrooms 2 1/2 cups bread cubes 1/2 cup melted butter 12 oz. canned sliced mushrooms, drained 3 15 oz. cans cut green beans, drained 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2/3 Tbsp. chopped onion 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 1 cup milk 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds Note: If you substitute fresh vegetables for the canned ones, blanch lightly in boiling water before adding to casserole dish. Rinse with cold water to stop the cooking and drain well. Use 3 1/2 lbs. fresh green beans |
