Pineapple Bread

3 cups flour
4 &1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 & 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 & 1/2 cups milk
4 Tbsp. melted butter
1 small can crushed pineapple,
well drained

Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9 x 5" loaf pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Combine egg, milk and melted butter, then add drained pineapple.

Pour into flour mixture and stir just enough to moisten dry ingredients. Do not beat. Turn into loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until tests done.

Makes one loaf or 8 servings. (10 slices)
